| The Tufts Symphony Orchestra |
 |
The TSO is one of Tufts University's largest performing ensembles, with  70 active members at any one time, with even more counting those abroad or those in reserve. Membership is diverse. While mostly comprised of undergraduate Tufts students, membership extends to a few attending the Tufts Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Engineering, and even the Tufts Nutrition School. Liberal arts students and engineers, music and non-music majors alike comprise the body of the orchestra, sometimes including students pursuing a music education at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, while simultaneously working toward a liberal arts degree at Tufts University.
